Russian punk outfit Biting Elbows’ music video Bad Motherfucker has taken subjective cinema to the next level. It’s a balls out chase, all shot from the hero’s point of view on the ultra portable GoPro camera. The camera was mounted on a full-face helmet (check out the gallery photo below). No word on how many of them got smashed jumping out of moving cars and such.
The popularity of this video could mean big things for the director, Biting Elbows’ frontman Ilya Naishuller. According to a recent interview with BigThink, he’s beating off would-be agents with a dead dog. Nice.
We’ve all been there…late nights at the office. Killing ourselves for that next big project, chasing the dream – but what’s happening at home while we’re away on business? What affect does this lifestyle have on our family and indeed our very souls?! Hang on to your underpants viewer, because you’re about to find out.
We made this nifty viral for furniture big shots Red Star Macalline, racking up over 10 million views in mainland China. Props to Cai at Verawom Shanghai for the thought-provoking script.
Well if it isn’t director Rob, posing silly with our team of UN-ATTITUDE Girls. These vinyl clad valkyries joined us for our latest video production: a series of hidden camera gags on unsuspecting men.
So what’s the story? Check back next month as the videos make their Youku debut. Shout outs to our new friends at Verawom Shanghai.
We recently took a trip over to the National Institute of Clean-And-Low-Carbon Energy for two days of video production. NICE commissioned us to help tell the world its story and after interviewing Nobel Laureate Dr. Carlo Rubbia, along with some of the world’s leaders in the field of clean energy, we think that story is long overdue.
On the outskirts of Beijing, Chinese energy leader Shenhua Group has built a Future Science and Technology City, where top scientists from around the world are coming together to develop clean energy solutions and patent new technology. After getting a look at their facilities and the sheer size of their investment, we can’t help but wonder what amazing innovations NICE has in store for us. Watch this space!
Happy holidays from us all at 39°N. We hope you have a great one. In the spirit of our favourite Christmas actions movies, we’re happy to present GUNDOG. He’s a hard living, heavy drinking, crime fighting dog, and he’s here to save Christmas.
We’re launching our Christmas video card tonight at the Bookworm in Sanlitun at 9pm. Very exciting stuff. Here’s a sneak peak of the superstar, Detective Gundog. It’s our homage to 80’s/90’s Christmas actions movies & TV Christmas specials but with a dog. Video will be posted here tomorrow.
We haven’t done much in the way of updating the blog this Month since we’ve been tied up dealing with the new BMW M Project / Beast Part 2 / M Gladiator. This is a follow up to last years “Beast Inside” campaign for the M3’s 25th anniversary. We wrapped it late last week and you can check it out here. They gave us a script and as always we had about 2 weeks to turn it around including all the casting, location scouting, shooting and post. As always, interested in your feedback.
